WALK HARD is incredibly juvenile, but it's pretty funny. It peters out (no pun intended) as it goes along, but the musical bio-pic is ripe for parody, and both Ray and Walk the Line are given the royal treatment here. The whole cast is good, even minor roles (although Jack Black as Paul McCartney is suprisingly unfunny, in a film where deliberately miscast parts like Frankie Muniz as Buddy Holly are funny in a self-reflexive way).
Definitely worth a rental.
