Mets vs. Cards

No one is more surprised than I am that the Cardinals have taken the NLCS to 7 games. Tonight's game should be exciting, as the winner moves on to play the Tigers in the World Series.

Before the post-season began, everyone expected the Mets to be heavily
favored going in, but tonight they start Oliver Perez (who frankly was terrible for most of the season) against former Red Sox starter Jeff Suppan (who has been stellar as of late). One might be tempted to give the advantage to Suppan, but it's likely that we'll see a LOT of the Mets' bullpen, perhaps as early as the 4th inning. With a collective 2.8 ERA, that gives the Mets the advantage.

Prediction: Mets 6, St. Louis 5
